Amy had to say...

I love to read, scrapbook, and I like a good looking flower beds..but I really hate to weed!  :0)  I'm now looking forward to Fall for cooler weather!!  I'm ready for Hoodies and soups and chili!  I am currently a stay at home mom to two of the most beautiful boys in the world...Isaac is 5 and Gideon is 1!  My husband and I have been married for 12 years and I'm looking forward to the future years and hope God grants us many.

I like to read almost anything, but I like thrillers best.

My Birthday:  February 3          My anniversary:   August 24, 1996

 Scrapbooking Swap:

What scrapbooking themes are you curently on?

BOYS, Always boys...LOL.  I have a 5 year old, a 1 year old, and a 30 year old (okay he's my DH, but you get the point...LOL).  I really really need to work on holiday and birthday pages.  I'm pretty good about scrapping the "everyday" moments that are special to me, but really bad about doing the holidays and "big" events.   I especially need to work on the birthday pages....the only one I have done is my 5 yr olds first.

What one thing or things can you  never have enough of?

Metal embellishments (except eyelets).  I love the metal and acrylic embellishments!!  Brads, stickers, and glue dots!!!  Got to have the glue dots for the metals!  Alphabets, No one can have too many Alphabets, but I do all of my journaling by hand so I really need the Alphabets to be big enough for Titles.  I LOVE rub ons too!  12x12 Cardstock.

What one scrapbooking thing do you have too many of?

Eyelets and markers.

What thing or things or theme are you having a hard time finding?

My son's 5th birthday theme was Transformers,  I haven't really looked yet, but I bet I won't be able to find anything in that.  I could also use a few Supergirl stickers for my neices Halloween page...all I could find was Superman.  Her costume was red and blue like superman's there was no pink.

Add anything else about your scrapbooking habits.

I use a ton of earth tones (Browns, Greens, Fall colors, etc.)  My family likes to be outdoors doing "boy" stuff.  Hunting, Fishing, Gardening, Swimming (river...no lakes), Camping, T-ball, Dogs (hunting and pets).  I'm not too crazy about bold prints or bold colors.  I like rugged and rustic things.

I can't think of anything else...LOL.  I'll be happy with anything that I can use for my boys so just have fun!

Books read in 2007

One of my goals for 2008 is to keep a record of what I read in 2008.  Thinking about that and seeing that many others have challenges to read more books in 2008 than they did in 2007 I thought I would attempt to make a list of what I read in 07.  This list is being made from my memory with the only help being my Books I've Read List so I'm sure to leave stuff out, but here is my best list from memory for 2007:

  • Angels Fall (Nora Roberts)
  • The Association (Bentley Little)
  • Before I Wake (Dee Henderson)
  • Black Creek Crossing (John Saul)
  • Blink (Ted Dekker)
  • Can't Wait to Get to Heaven (Fannie Flagg)
  • The Cat Who Came to Breakfast (Lillian Jackson Braun)
  • Dance of the Gods (Nora Roberts)
  • Dark Harvest (Karen Harper)
  • The Davinci Code (Dan Brown)

  • Every Which Way but Dead (Kim Harrison)
  • A Fistful of Charms (Kim Harrison)
  • Gabriel's Angel (Nora Roberts)
  • Gone Too Far (Suzanne Brockmann)
  • The Good, The Bad, and The Undead (Kim Harrison)
  • Harvest (Scott Nicholson)
  • House:  The Only Way Out Is In (Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker)
  • The Husband (Dean Koontz)
  • Into the Night (Suzanne Brockmann)
  • The Kite Runner (Khaled Hosseini)
  • The Last Summer of You & Me (Ann Brashares)
  • Megan's Mate (Nora Roberts)
  • The Memory Keeper's Daughter (Kim Edwards)
  • The Mermaid Chair (Sue Monk Kidd)
  • Morrigons Cross (Nora Roberts)
  • The Nerd Who Loved Me (Vicki Lewis Thompson)
  • Nineteen Minutes (Jodi Picoult)
  • Party Girl (Kathryn Anne Dubois)
  • Summer of Roses (LuAnne Rice)
  • Summer's Child (LuAnne Rice)
  • The Surgeon (Tess Gerritsen)
  • Three (Ted Dekker)
  • Undead and Unappreciated (Mary Janice Davidson)
  • Undead and Unemployed (Mary Janice Davidson)
  • Undead and Unpopular (Mary Janice Davidson)
  • Undead and Unreturnable (Mary Janice Davidson)
  • Undead and Unwed (Mary Janice Davidson)
  • Valley of Silence (Nora Roberts)
  • Water for Elephants (Sara Gruen)
  • The Weight of Water (Anita Shreve)

Well that is my list to the best of my memory...which comes to 41 books.  Thanks to PBS many of these authors were new to me and I've found several new favorites!!  That's pretty good considering I had a new baby in March so he's taken up a lot of my time!  Of course if you added the books I have read to my four year-old the number would atleast double...lol.  I'm certain since I now have PBS as a part of my life I will certainly be reading more than I did before!  I'm looking for many more great books in 2008!!  Looking forward to it!
